Positive Change: Better
Future
"Be the Change that you
want to see in the world" - Mahatma Gandhi.
I am proud to say that I am part of
The Global Documentary.
It is a non profit, open
source film project, making a documentary and an interactive
archive of positive stories from around the
world.
It was created by Paul Maple and
friends.
A unique quality of the project is to focus on a solutions-led
approach, aiming to encourage debate about the future and how
it could develop.
The project will tell the stories of people who are making
positive changes within our communities. What unites these
people is that none of them are motivated for profit, they
genuinely care about the planet and the people on it, and are
driven by a need to be pro-active and make a difference to the
world around them. Their stories illustrate how rewarding and
beneficial working pro-actively can be.
In the current climate, with the pressure to consume ever more
apparent, the Global Documentary seeks to show that there are
many people that have chosen to take responsibility themselves
for building a better future.
The project will examine what motivates these people to make a
difference and in turn will question why a large part of our
society has increasingly become indifferent to planetary and
social disease.
Universal questions will be put to everyone who is filmed,
asking them to describe the future they would like to see and
what part they will play in making their vision a reality. The
notion will be put forward that we are all
visionaries, in our own unique ways and that we are
all, quite capable, of making positive
changes, whether big or small.
In fact we all have the power
to make a difference to this world we live
in.
I will be helping the Global documentary team with
interviews and filming so please keep this site book marked
for future.
